Before we get in to the 'formal' stuff we just wanted to start by saying a HUGE thank you to YOU, our wonderful, loyal customers who have helped ensure the future of our tea rooms. It's because of all of your messages of support, orders and the fact we've missed you so much that has got us through this difficult time and means we will be opening our doors on the 4th July!
There will still be the same great food, same great service - but never the less a few important changes for the time being on how we do things on a day to day basis. These new measures are to help protect you as well as ourselves, so here's some important information you should know before visiting...
If you would like to...
*Take Away - why not give us a call before hand on 01308 455 697 and we can get everything ready for you, so you don't have to wait - this will help us to reduce congestion in our tea rooms. Only one per person to enter our tea rooms to order/collect take aways where possible. We can only accommodate one person waiting to order or collect a take away at any one time due to social distancing, so please wait outside if you can see the take away area in use. A number of tables are available for you to use outside also.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU WILL REQUIRE A FASK MASK TO ORDER/COLLECT A TAKE AWAY
*Sitting In - we are having to limit the number of people in our tea rooms at any one time to coincide with social distancing guidelines and government advice, so if you're making a planned trip why not call in advance to reserve a table and avoid disappointment, otherwise tables will be on a first come first serve basis. Please wait at the door to be seated, we will be operating table service as usual and can currently only accommodate a maximum table size of 6 people and are unable to move tables are chairs as these are positioned to maintain social distancing.
Our menu has changed until we adjust to the 'new way of life' and find our feet. We have tried to keep all of your favourites and ensure there is something for everyone. Plus we can guarantee we've not compromised on flavour or our ingredients and we've even got some new editions we cant wait to share with you! Plus, all of the items on our menu are suitable to be taken away.
Contactless (max £45 per transaction) or card payments are preferred and their is no minimum spend when using a this method, however cash will also be accepted.
Open 5 days a week (weds- sunday) 10am - 4pm/5pm. Please note we are closed Mondays and Tuesdays except bank holiday.
KEEPING YOU SAFE
New cleaning and sanitising procedures - as well as our usual stringent cleaning routines we already have in place we have added some extras too. All tables, chairs, menus and card machines will be sanitised after use and we will be regularly sanitising door handles (if we are unable to leave doors open due to health and safety), communal work surfaces and our toilet facilities. Please also ensure you sanitise your hands when entering our tea rooms and after using the bathroom (hand sanitiser is provided if you do not have your own). It is also recommended to wash your hands regularly throughout the day with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and avoid touching your face.
We are currently part of the 'Use our Loo' scheme meaning anyone is welcome to use our toilets however we are temporarily suspending this until further notice, and unfortunately we will only be allowing customers that are 'sitting in' as well as staff to use our facilities. We very much hope to be able to reinstate our 'Use our Loo' status as soon as we can.
TRACK & TRACE
We are required by the government to take a few personal details from those sitting in our tea rooms as part of their national track and trace scheme. Upon entering our tea rooms you will be asked to provide your name and a method of contact - either an email address or telephone number. If you are only with members of your own household we are only required to take one 'lead' customers details. If there are multiple households (only two different households are currently allowed to meet indoors) we will need information from both households. The details provided will be stored safely and securely and in accordance with data protection laws. Details will not be used for any other purpose and will be kept for 21 days only. We are pleased to announce that we have acquired the Industry Standard 'We're Good to Go' mark which means our business has followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, has a Risk Assessment in place and a process to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.
